WHAT ARE ENVI BLOCKS?
These blocks are an all wood product with no additives which are specifically designed to be used as firewood in wood stoves, fireplaces, fire pits and wood furnaces. Envi Blocks are made of the same material (hardwood sawdust, shavings, etc) as our wood pellets and mechanically compressed into a larger block size. Each original Envi Block will be approximately 4" x 4" x 10 1/2" in size with an average weight between 6 and 7 pounds. Our Envi-8 Block measures approximately 3 1/4" x 2 3/4" x 9 1/2" with an average weight between 3 and 4 pounds. Envi Blocks can be purchased packaged or unpackaged in various quantities.

Reduces our dependence on oil and gas. Pellet fuel cost is not dictated by world events; therefore cost is more affordable and predictable.Since pellet stove emissions are so low, they can be burned in most areas, even those with burning restrictions.Pellet fuel has been proven to provide the cleanest burn of any solid fuel.Because of the near total combustion (around 98.5%) pellet stoves produce virtually no creosote.This also allows installation of a pellet stove by direct vent without a chimney!One ton of wood pellets has the heat value of about one and a half cords of wood and stacks easily in one third the space! A 40-pound bag of New England Wood Pellets produces on average approximately 3 ounces of ash. An environmentally superior source of heat, CO2 neutral both in combustion and storage.
Corinth Hardwood Pellets-$260/Ton
Wood pellet stoves can be installed closer to combustible surfaces than regular wood burning stoves.Our pellets are made from waste products of sawmills and other wood processing facilities. It is also known as Biomass. No new trees are cut to make the pellet and the woods natural glue (lignin) holds the pellet together. Less space is needed to store the pellets than regular stove wood.
Athens Hardwood Pelletes-$260/Ton
We are proud to be located in Maine and to be producers of clean renewable energy. The 100,000 tons of pellets produced by our plant will replace 12,000,000 gallons of fuel oil. Since our pellet fuel is carbon neutral we will reduce green house gas emissions by 260,000,000 pounds! So do the right thing save the environment and burn pellets not oil.
Wood Pellets are a much more efficient source of energy than buring oil. Wood pellets produce about 8250 BTUs per pound, or 16,500,000 BTUs per ton. #2 fuel oil produces about 138,500 BTUs per gallon. So, 16,500,000BTU/ton divided by 138,500BTU/gallon shows that 1 ton of wood pellets replaces 119.13 gallons of fuel oil.
